DJ Supplies Sound & Lighting Ltd shall be known as 'DJS'.

1. General

Goods are not supplied on a trial basis.
We will always try to check and test most items we send out to make sure it is in a working condition with no missing parts or any signs of damage, unless it is sent direct from the manufacturer or in sealed packaging.
We may refuse to take your order if we feel you have given false or fraudulant information.
Unless we are specifically asked about requirements or compatibility, we shall assume the customer is aware of these. All illustrations and product descriptions featured on our web site are correct at the time of going ‘live' and are only a guide. Any changes to the products will be mentioned on the website or at the time of ordering by mail order. In the event of a delayed delivery or faulty goods, DJS accept no responsibility for loss of earnings or event cancellations, which depend on the products in question arriving by a certain date. Should you be unsatisfied or change your mind with a product you have purchased from us via DJS web site or mail order, it can be returned within 14 days in an unused, new condition, as supplied. If a product is in a factory sealed plastic clam type package, please do not open to examine the contents, as we will not accept any returns for the item. All returns must have a valid RMA number. Please contact us for a returns number before returning any goods. The cost of returning unwanted goods is the responsibility of the buyer. You will get a refund of what you have paid less the delivery costs of getting the product to you. If your order qualified for free delivery, this will be less 10%  (Maximum of £30) depending on the exact goods ordered by the payment method that you made, this also applies to failed deliveries due to customer not being in or refused goods, which are returned to DJS. Free standard delivery only qualifies for on-line ordering only. If you telephone to place an order the delivery charge will be quoted at the time of ordering. In order to get a refund, items must be unopened and unused, and in their original undamaged packaging, complete with all accessories. Consumable items, such as styli, cds and lamps cannot be returned, unless they are proved to be faulty also headphones and earphones may not be returned due to hygiene reasons.

2. Pricing

All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated, you will also a receive valid VAT receipt. Prices and promotional offers are subject to change without notice. All are subject to availability. All prices on DJS web site are exclusive to on-line ordering only. If you telephone to place an order the 'store' price of the goods will be quoted. DJS reserve the right to charge a different price in store, and some prices will be different to that of our on-line shop. All products (inc. special offers, upgrades, promotions and free gifts) are subject to availability. We may update prices at any time. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the products we sell may occasionally be mispriced. If this happens then we will not be obliged to supply the products at the incorrect price or at all. We will (at our discretion) either cancel your order and refund the price you have paid or endeavour to contact you and ask you whether you wish to continue with the order at the correct price. If we are unable to contact you or you do not wish to continue with the order at the correct price, we will cancel your order and refund the price you have paid.

3. Payment

WE DO NOT ACCEPT AMEX, but most other Credit & Debit Cards are accepted without surcharge, however we reserve the right to deliver only to the card holders billing address, or strictly by prior arrangement any other address acceptable to the card issuer. We use a third party name & address verification service. Please make sure the card you use for payment is registered at the billing address you supplied. If the card details you supplied do not match the billing details, we will not process your order, and you will be notified by email accordingly. Your credit/debit card will be charged at the time of order to secure the goods. No property or title of the goods shall pass from DJS to the customer until payment has been received in full. The customer is responsible for the goods from the time of delivery and liability to insure the goods then rests with the customer.

4. Shipping

If DJS have to part ship an order, due to temporary stock shortage, subsequent part shipments will not carry a delivery charge. We will always try to let you know if an item is out of stock at the time when you place your order. If, however, you order new release items, we shall hold the order until all items are in stock unless you agree to pay an additional shipping charge. All shipments in transit from DJS are covered by carrier's insurance. The Customer's signature will be required at the time of receipt and goods cannot be left without such a signature. Claims for missing items or damage to goods in transit must be made within 24hrs of delivery & 5 working days for non delivery of goods, otherwise any claims will be invalid.
Please check for any sign of damage to the parcels, items or packaging. Where upon the packaging or contents could have been damaged it is very important that you sign for the contents DAMAGED. If the proof of delivery is signed for with no sign of the written word 'damaged' on the POD then courier company will acknowledge the consignment was received in good condition and therefore all claims will be rejected by courier company and DJS. If you feel the item is damaged, DO NOT accept delivery.   
The customer is responsible for the cost of returning any unwanted items, or will be responsible for the direct cost of collection of such items.‘Dead on arrival': Goods found to be faulty from new can be returned for replacement or refund. The customer must notify DJS within 24hrs of receiving the goods if they are faulty. We will arrange to collect faulty or dead on arrival goods at our cost, if the goods in question, when tested are in a satisfactory working condition you will be charged for the collection and re-delivery costs. If we have to send out advanced replacements for any reason, you will be charged the replacement cost until we receive the faulty or damaged items for inspection, a refund will then be made for the advanced replacements once they have been checked and inspected. Please check thoroughly your goods before contacting us. For orders which have been placed, with cleared funds by 12 Noon weekdays, DJS will aim to deliver in Mainland UK within the specified delivery scale selected at the checkout, (barring systems failure etc.) Expected delivery usually within the time scale selected at the checkout, but please feel free to contact us about the progress of your order. Free standard delivery only qualifies for on-line ordering & payment only. If you telephone to place an order the delivery charge will be quoted at the time of ordering. 5. Warranty

All new products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Ex Demo, Pre Owned and Ex Display products carry a 3 month warranty and would be PAT tested. We try to test most items before dispatch, this ensures the items are in a working undamaged condition and reduces the risk of receiving 'Dead on Arrival Goods' The customer must notify DJS within 24hrs of receiving faulty goods. The cost of returning equipment for a warranty repair is the responsibility of the buyer. DJS will cover the cost to return any warranty repairs, unless the equipment is not covered by the warranty, then DJS will apply a fee to return the equipment. The warranty only covers manufacturing faults and not accidental damage, misuse, modification or liquid ingress.

6. Distance Selling

The following terms apply to mail order consumers as defined in the
Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000(“Regulations”).
1. The consumer shall, subject to the terms set out in this Clause, have the right to cancel a Contract within 14 working days from the day after the date of delivery of the Goods by the Company to the consumer provided that he/she gives written notice of such cancellation.
a/ If a consumer exercises their right to cancel a Contract, DJS shall, in accordance with the Regulations, reimburse any payment made by the consumer within 30 days from the day on which he/she gave such notice of cancellation, provided that the consumer shall not be entitled to a prepayment in the event that:
a1/ He/she does not take reasonable care of the Goods either prior to cancellation of the Contract or, following cancellation, while the Goods remain in the possession of the consumer. For the purposes of this sub-clause A1, a consumer shall be deemed not to have taken reasonable care of the Goods if such Goods are not kept packed in their original box, with all accessories, manuals and cables and the internal or external packaging is defaced or damaged in any way; or
a2/ The Goods are marked, damaged or not in the same condition in which they are sold.
2. The consumer is responsible for the cost of returning any unwanted items, or will be responsible for the direct cost of collection of such items.
